David I’m getting my licence over the summer and I’ve saved up around 6K for a car. I’m hoping to use it on a good car that will last a while, preferabbly a volkswagon jetta. Are they a good starter car for a 16 year old kid?

December 9th, 2010 David Ok, I’m planning on buying a 1994 Volkswagen Passat that has 164,000 miles on it. I’m looking for an estimate of how many more miles I can put on it before the engine dies (considering that I will take very good car of the car). Answers are greatly appreciated.
