Done it now, oh and it says in the vw manual to put children under 6 months in the passenger seat so you are all wrong im afraid. It also says if your travelling alone you should put it in the front so you can keep an eye on it if its choking etc.

Especially in hot weather, my Passat stinks with a musky/rotten smell coming out of the air vents. I have changed the air filter, and that decreased the smell for a few weeks. I did do a search online for similar problems leading me to search for leaks or damage, but haven't seen any. I love my car, but HATE the stench.

I tried some of the standard screws and they were either too big or too small. The guy at Auto Zone said I need one that's kind of a short screw because the hole isn't very deep. If you know of which screws I need and where to get them, that would be very helpful. Thanks!
