I could not find the engine code of VW Golf. If you provide a photo of where I should look at, I am really appreciated.
I could not find where the engine code is written in VW Golf. If you give a picture or detail description about where I should look at, I will be really appreciated.
I am talking about the code that the first three characters are letters and the rest six characters are numbers.

It is an European car whose model is 2005 and engine type is 1.6 FSI.

Which engine does your car have and what year is it? Here is a list of codes. Its stamped on the block itself, but depending on size, the location is different.

I’m not too familiar with the european engines, but most are on either a sticker on the timing belt cover or engraved on a flat spot on the cylinder head just under where the valve cover bolts on (usually in the front).
