Why are you picking 170? Why not 44,000? And then why 44,000? It is all totally irrelevant.
If you want a 170 HP car, then go and buy one with it as stock hp.
The manufacturers have mega bucks. They develop the engine. They know what it can do(because they build all the accessories – blowers, turbo’s, multi-lobed cams. and the like. You are not discovering something new that they didn’t already know years ago. That is what the race track is for.
But manufacturers build cars so they do not prematurely break down because they do not want to cover any more warranty then they have to. Building an unstable engine would not serve them at all.(and that is what you are doing) Drop a super charger on there and run nitro for fuel. it will last maybe one drag.

You’re going to have to either turbocharge or supercharge it. This is not a great engine for tuning, BTW. It’s a very reliable and economical type of engine. The 1.8t you can get much better gains from. The best thing you can do is trade your 2.0 in for a 1.8t. That will have 150hp standard and putting a cold-air intake on it and a simple chip easily gets it up to 180hp. The cost of turbo/superchanger on your 2.0 and the trade-in option will be roughly the same, but you’ll get more for your money if you trade.

Think about what you just asked.. High performance parts are made specifically for a certain car type. You could only do that if it’s the same kind of car.

If at all possible sell\trade it for a new or used 2006-2009 VW GTI. This car has a turbo and has 200 HP with unholy amount of torque. I bought a new 06 GTI 3 yrs. ago and have 42,000 reliable miles on it. Best and most fun-filled vehicle Ive ever owned!

put a large shot of nitrous on it ,blow it up then buy a car worth putting speed parts on, the moral of this story is DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY there is no speed parts worth putting on this motor
