you “scratched” a side window? firstly I find that quite unusual and secondly do you KNOW that you did it?get someone to buff it out
Side windows are more expensive than windshields. I’d guess $225 – $300 installed. You might be able to find one at a junkyard for much cheaper, but you’d have to get someone to install it for you.
i own a shop ,and parts and labor on this one probably will cost anywhere from 125 bucks up to 250 ,it all depends on if they want a used one put in it or a new one,but that’s about the average cost on something like this, good luck with it.
Tell that guy to go fly a kite. If he gives you grief, tell him to show you the proof that it was YOU that did this so called damage, and not a kid with a ball or a vandal. Unless he has video and an eye witness who is willing to testify, he has nothing. Further, insurance covers glass too, and they do not charge the deductable so he is covered and just trying to scam you out of several hundred bucks so he can pocket it.
well it should probably cost $150-$250. basically he can call his insurance company if he wants the work done right away and if he is gonna be snotty about it. if his policy for car insurance is written in mn, ny, ma, az, ky, or sc usually there would be a $0 ded for that because its under comprehensive coverage. you are going to need the year, make, model, 2dr, 4dr, sedan wagon? and exactly which glass it is that is damaged. some glass shops i know of are guardian, safelite, elite, maverick, glass pro, auto glass specialist, binswanger, auto glass center, harmon and many many more just open your phone book and call aroud for price quotes.
