Just a screwdriver if I recall. Lift the rear seat – there’s a black plastic cover. Unscrew the cover, disconnect the fuel level sender and pull out the insert containing the old pump.
I think a screw driver is correct. Lay down the back seat so you have access to the trunk. Lift the Velcro trunk liner and you should see on the passenger’s side a round metal plate. Lift that plate (this may be where the screw driver comes in. Under there you will see a couple of hoses and then a big plastic threaded cap for the pump. Unhook the hoses and the wiring, unscrew the plastic ring and then lift the old pump out of the tank. grab the new one and reverse the process.
Check that there is power to the fuel pump first, because it could just be the fuel pump relay instead.
