VW should make a rear engine, rear wheel drive beetle… The original beetle would go through snow better than any front wheel drive on the planet.
Subaru is now making a rear wheel drive compact car, I bet the other Auto? Makers will follow..

Rear-engine (with rear-wheel drive) isn’t practical in a modern car with multiple times the amount of power an original Beetle had, not unless it’s intentional to force extremely sporty and tricky handling (see 911). And unless I’m mistaken, this isn’t a sports car. They still could’ve gone with front-engine + rear-wheel drive though, so that’s a bit of a disappointment.
The car looks sweet btw, much better than the New Beetle and especially less girly.

@TheLizardKing1967 I drive a Lexus CT200h wich is the most fuel efficiently premium car (50 miles for gallon but with a good drive very often i can do even? better) and I live in Italy where the fuel cost much more than 7$ a gallon. Greetings from Italy,lol.

Not very attractive. In fact, Volkswagens of late? aren’t nearly as nice as the early 2000′s. Very plain, vanilla, generic. Walmart.
